 Coordinating across federal agencies responsible to address alcohol and substance abuse issues, including DOI's (Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Indian Education), DOJ's (Office of Justice Programs, Office of Tribal Justice) and HHS' (IHS and other agencies in charge of assisting Indian Country)

This program is our 4-in1 Grant that we receive from I.H.S (Indian Health Service)yearly from April 1 to March 31. 

This program mainly targets youth K-12 grade and some adults participating in outpatient treatment.  They are three objectives as  follows:                                

                                

  1. To undertake a holistic approach that will prevent substance abuse among Urban American Indian Youth and their families.

    - Client Support services by providing up to $200/family towards prevention activities.

    - Types of Programs to be offered will be Restoring Our Relationship Classes, Too Smart To Start Curriculum and other collaboration efforts within MIC and MCPS.
                                     

  2. To prevent substance abuse and related problems via healthy lifestyles                                  

    -Summer and weekend activities                  

  3. To provide Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient treatment to at least 25 Adult American Indian Adults                               

    -Provide up to $200 in client support
